WELCOME TO VISUAL ARTS CHESHIRE

About Us

VAC is a Northwich arts organisation.   We are a Community Interest Company, formerly established in 93 Brunner Court (Witton Street, near the Library) and prior to that in the former Connexions offices at 98 Brunner Court.

Our aim continues to be the establishment of another gallery in a town centre property.

In the meantime we have held exhibitions at the iconic Weaver Hall Museum and Plaza cinema/bingo hall  (closed in 2011) and continue to plan further events. We run the summer Art Trail and produce the Northwich Calendar each year. This year (2018) we have introduced the Childrens' Art Trail (see Childrens' Art Trail tab for details).

The 2017 Northwich Art Trail ran throughout July. It was the 5th 'trail' run by VAC.

All work in the summer Art Trail is available for purchase. We had a record number of sales in 2017, thanks to support from The Art Shop and DAN Community.

The 2018 Art Trail will again run throughout the month of July.

We run the Northwich Art Trail in the summer and produce the Northwich Calendar jointly with DAN Community and the Northwich Art Shop. We are supported by Cheshire West and Chester council and also Northwich Town Council.

We aim to provide a varied programme of exhibitions - in the first 3 years of our operation as a gallery we have had 20 different shows - see the Past Exhibitions tab for more details.

Besides our exhibition programme we have also run a variety of workshops and we intend to continue these activities when we relocate to a new town centre base.
